Insect Production
Using an extensive experience in insects production at industrial scale with craft methods
What we do
The dedicated facilities that we manage are equipped to produce large quantities of live insects:
Mealworms: Total of 3,000 m² facilities with an annual output of 300 tons
Crickets: Total of 2,400 m² facilities with an annual output of 80 tons
These insects play a crucial role in maintaining the birds' health and preserving natural foraging behaviors essential for their survival in the wild.
Our production methods are tailored to local contexts, using available resources and training local staff to ensure smooth operations. Whether for small-scale or large-scale needs, we adjust the timing and quantity of production to meet specific requirements.
The insect production is fully integrated into our wildlife breeding programs. Leftovers from the animals’ diets are incorporated into the insects' feed, while waste generated from insect production is repurposed for other uses, such as vegetable cultivation or soldier fly breeding. This circular approach minimizes waste and ensures a cost-effective, competitive production process.
The quality of Houbara Bustards—measured by their growth, behavior, and overall fitness—relies heavily on the inclusion of live insects in their diet. To meet these nutritional needs, we have developed and refined efficient insect breeding techniques, ensuring a sustainable and high-quality food source for animals in captivity.
